🐾 Meet Tubs — This Big Lump of Love is Ready for His Second Chapter!

Tubs didn't end up in rescue because someone gave up on him. He ended up here because life got hard for the person who loved him, and that's not his fault, not even a little bit. His owner became homeless earlier this year, leaving behind Tubs and 10 kitty siblings, all neighborhood saves, plus one Chihuahua sibling. A whole little family, built on love, suddenly displaced through no fault of their own.

Here's where the story gets sweeter. We actually helped fix this boy about five years ago when he was just a year old. So when he arrived at the local kill shelter, his chip brought him right back to us. We scooped him up immediately, put out the call for a foster, and this boy landed in the most wonderful home, where he promptly made himself completely at ease, like he'd lived there his whole life.

Tubs is kitty-friendly, endlessly sweet, and genuinely funny. He drags his blanket around the house like it's his most prized possession. He is a master biscuit maker. He is the kind of cat that makes everyone in the room smile, every single time. His foster family would keep him in a heartbeat if they could, but they just can't, and that tells you everything you need to know about this boy.

Now, full transparency, because Tubs deserves an owner who is on his team. When we pulled him from the shelter in January, he was a hefty 19.7 lbs. We have been working on it! He has been going up and down the stairs at his foster home for the last couple of weeks, and he is on a good diet to help shed those extra pounds. We are certain that by Christmas he will be right where he needs to be, closer to 12 or 13 lbs for his frame. He just needs someone who will stick with his diet and workout regimen and cheer him on every step of the way. His glow-up is already in progress.

Tubs would be wonderful in any home, kids to seniors, other cats, all of it. He is easygoing, affectionate, and ready to pour every bit of love he has into whoever is lucky enough to have him.
